Although I am quite skeptical on what's going on in the world right now, I've chosen to hermit at home with my little one. She's missing her favourite things, like the park and our "yummy Chai" dates that we would have once a week, or a trip to the local Op Shop, plus we recently discovered a GIANT inflatable pillow up the road and as she is obsessed with jumping castles... She's asked about it every day. So I've made more of an effort to do a few extra things to engage her, especially in those moments where she is upset about not getting to play at the Park.
It's a tough time for our little people at the moment and I'm finding it more important than ever to be extremely switched on to her needs, to read extra stories and give her super big snuggles when she needs it. The last thing I want is for her to be traumatized by this whole event like so many others will be, both young and old. By this I mean that this even WILL BE traumatizing for some people. We don't know how long it will go on for, we don't know how many restrictions, rules and regulations will be thrown on us and we don't know whether we're either going to live or die or a virus (although trust me, we'll be okay). There are so many unknowns and I can just tell by seeing and hearing things that there are people not coping.
